The video above took place on Thursday evening March 17, 2005.
In it Lynne Eckardt asks the Town Board about a $41,000 invoice from a 'Paul Bergins' Esq. that the Town Board had authorized 6 months prior. Councilwoman Mitts, Councilman Honeck, one other Councilman (signature illegible), and Supervisor Dunford had signed off on this audit last September.
In case the audio is not clear here is a transcript of the Town Board work session exchange here.
After the Board reaches the conclusion that the money spent was for 'Xeroxing' due to all the lawsuits her 'organizations' had filed against the town Lynne decided to FOIL for the Bergin invoices themselves.
In fact, the $41,637.43 was a refund in a Tax Certiorari matter regarding Centennial Golf Club. In a court decision said property had been found to have been over assessed since 1999. A copy of the Tax Certiorari can be read here and it should be noted this is a scanned version of the document and may contain errors due to scanning.
Obviously the $41,637.43 had nothing to do with photocopying nor did it have anything to do with CRSE.
