Concerned Residents
of Southeast has recently updated its website. You will now find
resources available to you on the web as well as in your community.
CRSE is a nonprofit group dedicated to preserving our community
through smart growth. CRSE is here to educate our neighbors, work
with other groups that share our beliefs and to assist developers
in designing projects to enhance our town.
On our new website
you will find recaps of Southeast board meetings and draft minutes
from the Southeast Town Board, Planning Board and the Conservation
Commission. These minutes will help any resident keep informed on
what is happening in their community. The recaps include comments
from a CRSE Board member with commentary about each subject and
will also include the Zoning Board of Appeals meetings. These comments
are provided to help better understand the decisions that are being
made here in Southeast.
In our Maps area you will now find maps
locating projects in the construction phase, planning stage and
also projects in neighboring communities. We believe that the Town
of Southeast is not an isolated community, but is part of a larger
community in Putnam and Westchester counties. These maps will be
updated as projects become completed or approved. Check back frequently
as the projects advance.
We also have added
some photos to our site. These photos will attempt to show
life in Southeast prior to and after development. The changes in
our community have been dramatic, but through our efforts we hope
to lessen the severity of future developments.
